The issue has now remained to be adopted even at the plenary session of the European Parliament and is expected on January 1st, 2024 to remove the visa regime. “One step closer: Satisfied by the EU Council's unanimous decision today in favour of visa-free travel for our citizens. Long waiting is coming to an end. We eagerly await the final steps of the European Parliament”, Prime Minister Kurti wrote.
