Kosovo citizens living abroad can apply to vote via post for elections in the north

The Central Election Commission reports that on March 20th the period of voting application has begun outside Kosovo for extraordinary mayoral elections in municipalities: Northern Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zvecan and Zubin Potok, as well as the municipal assembly: Zvecan and Leposaviq, which will be held on April 23rd. The application deadline for this period will be completed on 27 March 2023.

During this period, Kosovo citizens living outside the Republic of Kosovo can apply for registration to vote via mail for extraordinary elections for
Mayor in these four municipalities.

Also, those who do not have the citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo, but who have the right to be citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, under the Law on States, can apply.

The Central Election Commission encourages all citizens eligible to vote, living outside Kosovo, and meeting the respective legal criteria, to use their right to register outside Kosovo and then, after the census, to vote through the mail during the period that starts on April 8th and ends on April 21st 2023<18x1>, it is said in the CEC report.
