Foreign Affairs Minister Olta Xhacka has welcomed the decision by the interior ministers of the 27 European Union countries, who approved today the decision on visa liberalisation for Kosovo.

Through a post on social networks, Xhacka has declared that she hopes that the long and unjustified delay will be rewarded.

“we welcome the decision of the EU Council of Justice and Home Affairs that paves the way for visa liberalisation for Kosovo. Let us hope that after such a long and unwarranted delay the process will be completed as soon as Kosovo citizens can move freely to the Schengen” area, wrote Jacka on Twitter.

The interior ministers of the 27 European Union countries adopted the decision for visa liberalisation for Kosovo today at the Council of Internal Affairs meeting in Brussels.
