This reaction comes amid public outrage for a wave of suspected mysterious attacks in numerous schools, Reuters writes.
Over 1,000 girls from more than 52 schools have suffered poisoning since November 2022, according to state media and officials.
Some politicians are blaming religious groups that oppose girls' education. Victims have reported symptoms such as rashness, vomiting, and dizziness following the discovery of unpleasant “ ” ) calling for authorities to act and for some parents to pull their children out of school.
The poisonings come at a critical time for Iran's clergy rulers after months of protests since Mahsa Amini's death, while in detention of Tehran's moral police for violating hijab rules.
