IPK anti-corruption action mega-acion at border is highly valued by UN

IPK through the exercise of activity as an institution has missions to provide a responsible, democratic and transparent police service, considering the investigation into complaints of police criminal acts, as well as the inspection of such processes.
Ko has praised two major cases of corruption carried out by the IPK, with whom two major investigations on the border between Kosovo and Albania have been mentioned.
“The IPK has conducted two major corruption investigations at the border points between Kosovo and Albania. The investigations have led to the arrest of 74 Kosovo police officers, two Kosovo Customs officials and 34 Albanian police officers.”, is one of the mega police shares the IPK has conducted during the past year and has been isolated from the UN.
In addition, the report mentions the condemnation of three police officials suspected of misuse of office.
“Later, in September, three police officials have been sentenced to 15 to 30 months in prison for abuse of their positions, for accepting the bribe, and offering aid for smuggling goods at border points between Kosovo and Serbia”.
