I think it's more urgent to resolve the issue of association and there are several reasons for this, one of them is that the issue exists for 10 years, and secondly, I think that if we start with it, the people (Serbs in Kosovo) will return to institutions. What we're trying to do is calm the whole situation, because it's necessary”, Hill told the Serbian news agency “Beta”.
He added that much work is still needed to be done, but the most important part of the work is implementation of the agreement.
Hill also said that everyone understands how important the issue of negotiations between the two countries is.
And along with the importance comes the emergency, we need to solve it”, he said.
According to him, the European Union has invested a lot of efforts to reach an agreement that has <x0 historical significance”.
“is one of the most important things going on in Europe now, I don't think we want to move at a slow pace, but as soon as”, the American ambassador to Belgrade stressed.
