US Ambassador to Serbia Christopher Hill has estimated that Kosovo and Serbia at the meeting in Brussels have shown that there are very serious “to move forward”, and that the issue of the Serbian majority municipalities' association is “that is more urgent”.
I think it is more urgent to resolve the issue of association and there are several reasons for this, one of them is that the issue exists for 10 years, and secondly, I think that if we start with it, the people (Kosovo Serbs) will return to institutions. What we're trying to do is calm the whole situation, because it's necessary”, Hill has told the Serbian news agency Beta.
He has added that much work is still needed to be done, but the most important part of the work is implementation of the agreement.
Hill has also said that everyone understands how important the issue of negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia is.
And with importance comes the emergency, they must be selected”, he said.
According to him, the European Union has invested many efforts to reach an agreement that is of historic importance.
The “is one of the most important things going on in Europe right now and I don't think we want to move at a slow pace, but the sooner”, Ambassador Hill stressed.
