Government makes a decision on private sector, concerns workers' salaries

Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during his government meeting speech, said that reviewing the MF's request for budgetary allocations for implementation of the government's Article 1.3 of September 30th decision, 2022, “is linked to the range of 3.6 support of the family liquidity of the package for economic revival”.
“In line with our promise of support for citizens through the package for inflation, the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transitions has submitted the request for the budgetary division to realise the payment of subsidies for all private sector employers who have increased salaries for their workers”, the government chief said.
Later, Finance Minister Iron Murati indicated that 1.5m euros will be allocated for implementation of this executive decision.
According to him, 17 thousand private sector employees have benefited from the increase in wages, which will be subsidised by the Government of Kosovo.
