Gervailla: No deal yet with Serbia

The Kosovo minister has spoken of the agreement reached in Ohrid between Kosovo and Serbia.

When asked if it brings significant changes to peace in Kosovo, the agreement reached, Gervala has said that the “is the truth that the agreement with Serbia is still incompatible.

When he said that, Gervala mentioned Kurti's insistence on signing the agreement first on February 27th in Brussels and then on March 18th in Ohrid.

The truth is that we still have no agreement with Serbia. For our part, we were twice, once on February 27th, and then last weekend, ready for a deal, with guarantees that our partners and allies, the European Union and the United States, gave us for the implementation of that agreement, but surprisingly. Serbia was not ready for this”, Gervala has said. But it says Serbia was willing to do the same.

According to Gervala Serbia is continuing the old game as the signing approaches, it refuses to do so. “They simply continue the old message transmission game and various messages and then, as the signing approaches, refuse”, the Kosovo top diplomat has said.

It says it is unfortunate that the EU is enabling such a situation and that it is solving the challenges of dialogue it is mediating.
