Finnish Ambassador: Ohrid Agreement Implementation Speedes EU Membership

Finnish Ambassador to Pristina Matti Nissinen says implementation of the Ohrid Agreement agreeing to accelerate the process of Kosovo and Serbia's membership in the European Union. Ambassador Nissinen says Kosovo belongs to European and Euro-Atlantic organisations, until it expresses support for membership in the Council of Europe and the European Union. Finland's priority for Kosovo, according to him, remains economic growth, which, he says, is best achieved through co-operation between the two countries.

The Finnish diplomat gives particular attention to the world's security environment after Russia's conquering war in Ukraine, which stresses that it is vital that countries like Kosovo and Finland continue to support the democratic values in the world (Enter KPress).

Also, the Finnish ambassador, who took office in September last year, talks about how Finland has been elected for the sixth time the country with the happiest population in the world, while discovering its “secretive”.
