I wholeheartedly welcome today's decision. After more than a decade of unjustified delay, more obstacles than any Balkan country, Kosovo citizens will finally be able to travel without visas to the EU”, the Eurodeputt slalen wrote.
The interior ministers of the 27 European Union countries adopted the decision for visa liberalisation for Kosovo today at the Council of Internal Affairs meeting in Brussels.
The ministers approved this decision “on first reading”, without discussion, as permanent representatives of member states had been hired earlier at the ambassadorial meeting.
The Council today approved its position in terms of free visa movement for Kosovo passport carriers. The new regulations will enable carriers of these passports to travel to the European Union without visas for staying in a period of up to 90 days over the 180-day period“, Sweden's Interior Minister Maria Malmer Stenegard said after the adoption.
