By April 1st of this year, new electricity tariffs will take effect. These fees will be valid until March 31st 2024.
Petit Pepaj of the Energy Regulatory Office has said that based on preliminary estimates, these fees will be more expensive than the currents for 14 per cent.
New tariffs take effect on April 01, 2023 and last until March 31st, 2024. The preliminary estimates presented in Consultative reports indicate an increase of about 14%”, Pepaj stated.
So far, Pepaj says no party has sent comments on the matter, even though there are only two days left.
The timing for accepting comments is until March 3rd, 2023, so far we have not received comments from any party of interest”, Pate's response to Express.
The KEDS confirmed a week ago that they have submitted the request for extraordinary review of energy tariffs.
Margarita Rashit, ECDS spokeswoman, has said all legal preconditions for the application of the fee review have been met.
All legal preconditions for the application of the fee review have been met. We've made the application at ZRE, but for details look to this last “, Rashi said.

Commission Chairman for Economics Ferat Shala has said that there will be an upgrade, but if that happens, he has said it is unacceptable for them.
If ZRE is initiated by the legal factor, from the real economic factor, if you take the country's socioeconomic parameters, I don't think there's going to be a rise. But if ZRE falls into the influence of government policy, in what we've seen manage this sector so far, it's possible to raise the price. For us it is unacceptable, but we are still awaiting the final legal decision by an institution, which we want to be completely independent of decision-making”, Shala has said.
Even Democratic League of Kosovo MP Valentina Bulnjaku has estimated that changing electricity tariffs is unnecessary.
The “is unaffordable once again. Given high inflation in Kosovo, citizens do not know how they have to cope with an increase in electricity. So much worse now at the time that time is improving. We don't have any very strong winters that have very large reductions or loads. Time is improving I don't see it rational that they have reason to increase the price of energy while wages are still the same”, Bulnjak said.
The tariffs currently in effect were approved on February 8th of last year.
With these fees, expensive bills have been spent over 800 kilowatts per hour per month.
Tax consumers over 800 kilowatts per hour have the high fee of 12.5 cents per kilowatt and 5.9 cents per low fee.
For consumers who spend up to 800 kilowatts per hour monthly, the high rate is 7 cents, while low 3 cents
