Turkish President Rexhep Tayip Erdogan said no compromise will be made for architecture that will be built after the earthquake in the affected areas.
During a speech from the National Danger Protection Meeting, the buildings would be between 3 and 4 floors.
“In the cities where the earthquake occurred, buildings will be built 3 or 4 floors. Forget more than 4-story palaces”, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said.
He noted that they are determined not to allow building buildings in areas where tectonic fault lines cross, saying that “will change habitats from steppes to mountains, we will build new habitats”.
Turkey and Syria were hit by a devastating earthquake on February 6th, where more than 50,000 citizens died and tens of thousands were injured.
