Daciq: Forming Association is a test for internationals

The head of Serbian diplomacy, Ivica Dacic, has declared that Serbia's position is clear, and that it is that there are no further steps for implementation of the agreement with Pristina until the Association of Serb majority municipalities is formed. Daciq in Vienna, in the findings of journalists who EU High Envoy Josep Borrell has said agreement has been reached, while Vuciq has said there is no agreement, has stressed that the most important of this is to immediately form the Association of Serb Majorities.
“As long as the Serb majority Communist Association is not formed, we cannot continue to discuss its implementation steps. Vuciq has clearly said that we agreed to apply the principles of our red lines, which we have presented to”, Daciq said.
He recalled that it was him and Hashim Thaci who signed the formation of the AKS, that he would be very optimistic if he said this would happen immediately tomorrow, when it had not happened 10 years ago.
This is now a test for the international community”, the Serbian foreign minister said.
He has also said that it is clearly defined that the AKSHS will make up 10 municipalities, of which four are in northern Kosovo with Serb majority.
We've stayed and talked for days. We hardly agreed on such a thing, and now 10 years and 10 years should we expect Kurt to be merciful and to form it. We do not believe in their will, but we do accept the guarantees of European negotiators that it will thus be”, Dacic said.
In the question of whether Serbia will accept Kosovo's EU membership, he replied that “nobody asks us anything in the EU, because we are not a member”, but also stated that Serbia had to become a member of Union a long time ago.
As for his attitude towards Russia, Dacic said that he should not be forgotten that in 1948, Yugoslavia's Socialist Federation withdrew from all pacts with the Soviet Union, unlike the countries of Eastern Europe now in the EU, and that they were then planning to attack Yugoslavia by means of the conflict with Moscow.
When it comes to the EU, it is important to talk about the United Nations, because it is a universal organisation that confirms whether a country is recognised or not. That's the only thing it's about”, Dacic said.
He recalled that a year ago, Serbia confirmed its position on the National Security Council and condemned violations of the territorial integrity of each country, including Ukraine, but did not join restrictive measures against Moscow.
This position has not changed. If it needs a review of the position, competent institutions will be taken over. True, Serbia has not imposed sanctions on Russia, but it is also true that the volume of foreign trade exchange between Russia and Serbia has decreased. And how did you comment that in many Western countries, which have imposed sanctions, the volume of foreign trade has increased? Be fair to all. Our exchange with Russia mainly relates to oil and gas”, Dacic said.
