Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that Albania stands close to Greece at the moment, lowering the national flag to half-staff.
Greece's <x0... tragedy is also our tragedy, the pain of lost lives in the terrible accident is ours and that's one of those vital moments, when a great loss in the neighbour shows more than a hundred joys that our lives are inextricably interrelated, and that we have to do our best to do the best we can, increasingly co-operating with each other. On Sunday, Albania will honour the victims of tragedy with a day of mourning, symbolically joining friendly Greece with the national flag sitting at half-staff”, Rama wrote on Facebook.
The death toll from the accident of two trains that took place in Larisa, Greece, in late hours Tuesday has increased to 57.
The accident occurred between a passenger train and a freight train.
Meanwhile “Top Channel”, according to unofficial information, has said three Albanian citizens are among the victims. It has also been said that among the 57 injured are six Albanians in serious condition.
