The 300 thousand euro school in Istog that became sheep's stable

The school built in 2004 was closed only five years later, with the reasoning that there is a shortage of students, Kiks Kosova reports.

This village's students now follow lessons in Bana village schools and Saradran, about 5km away. The sheep took their place.

Behlulaj, who said that the school was visited two weeks ago, vows that there is no trace of livestock in this facility.

The ghost school has no door or glass left without injury, and the floor is all covered by sheep's dung.

Residents of this village, who refused to speak before the camera, behind them told Kixi that, after the closure, the school has been exploited for the shelter of livestock by Haki Zeqiraj, then former chairman Haki Rugova's driver.

They say Zeqiray had then surrounded the school court, which was guarded by several dogs so that no one could get in.

However, this is rejected by the current education director, who insists that these are slanders of political opponents.

KIX Kosovo has tried to contact Zeqiraj, but has not responded to the show's calls.
