Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, Parliament Speaker Glauk Konjufca of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, along with cabinet and parliament ministers and co-operation, starts homazhe at the Mmorial Elusis “Adem Jashari” in Prekaz.
The events for marking the 25th anniversary of this historic event that began yesterday on March 5 will continue today and tomorrow, when they end up with what is called Fire Night.
Today, on March 6th, the Kosovo Parliament's solemn session will be held, there will be Homazhe at the Memorial Complex “Adem Jashari” in Prekaz, and a memorial academy will be held.
On the third day of Epope, and last, on March 7th, starting at 6:00, begins lighting flares in seven regions of Kosovo, continuing with the display “Fire Night” in Prekaz, which also marks the conclusion of the population manifesto, the KLA era.
Yesterday you were marked the 25th anniversary of the fall of the legendary KLA commander, Adem Jashar and his family. The events at the beginning of 1998 will remain a living testimony to the Western world and to Kosovo's own history. On March 5th, 1998, Serbian paramilitary and military forces surrounded Jashir and Prekaz, facing resistance from the Jashar family, who spared nothing in defence of the country.
On the second day of the attack on the Jashar family, on March 6, 1998, fighting was being toughed, while the third day of the attack, March 7, 1998, is also considered the day of the heroic fall of the KLA commander, Adem Jashar and his family, the glorious day of the KLA era.
Of these fierce fightings that took place three days in a row with Serbian police and military forces, along with KLA Commander Adem Jashari, from his family in the field of honour, came heroicly to the defense of home, country and nation's threshold, 55 people, most members of the Jashar family.
