Scientists have explained why. Although many people seem to be overexploring, when we sneeze over and over again, we actually clean up many of our respiratory channels and the ideal number of repetitions seems to be three times.
More often, we sneeze because there are foreign particles in the nose, and that's the best way to get them out.
What many people notice when the sneezing is that in most situations it cannot happen without three repetitions, although it is likely to be less.
When someone sneezes three times, the first time it serves to “the exhumed” these foreign bodies from the inside of the nose, the second time it moves towards the nostrils, and the third time it's pulled out of”, explains Dr. Jordan Josephson from Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
There are many reasons for sneezing. Viral infections of respiratory lesions as well as common colds that can irritate internal membranes in the nose.
Cold air can do the same, as can numerous allergens such as pollen, dust, or mold.
But these are not the only things related to sneezing. Some people sneeze when they go out in the sun. This is a situation known as “phototric sneezing=x1> and affects 10 to 35 percent of the population, according to some studies.
Regardless of the reason for the sneezing, make sure that you always cover your nose and mouth to prevent the spread of germs.
