The standard gas price in Dutch TTF dropped to 48.775 euros per litre. This rate for the last time had been in August 2021, which is almost seven times lower than the high gas prices that were after Russia began the invasion of Ukraine almost a year ago.
European gas prices have dropped by 50 percent since November of last year thanks to hot weather... competition with China when the Zero-Covid” strategy was still in force in this country, said analyst from UniCred, Edorado Campenella.
China lifted restrictions on the coronary pandemic in December last year, but this state has not yet increased its demand for gas.
After the start of Ukraine's Russian occupation, Western states have been forced to supply gas from other countries, not Russia, which is a major producer of this product.
Since then, Norway has become Europe's main gas supplier.
