Garik: Association will be key topic in Brussels, Kurti is not expected to change his policy

Kosovo portal editor Milos Gariq told RTS that today there will be three parties interested, the EU and Washington together -- Pristina and Belgrade -- each having its own wishes and expectations from today's meeting. Serbia's position is initially the foundation of the Serb-run municipality Association and then [...]
Garic says this is the moment when pressures and efforts from abroad to reach a new kind of agreement between Belgrade and Pristina have reached their maximum.
According to him, it is clear that the EU and Washington want the new European agreement to be accepted and implemented soon.
The Kurti speaks exclusively of mutual recognition, and Belgrade has a clear attitude to understand and apply what has been agreed and signed so far this is the Brussels and Association Agreement, which has been Pristina's duty for 10 years under the agreement. The Brussels agreement has not yet been implemented. We have three different angles with which the parties will enter the talks and it will be a difficult and tiring day for the Serbian delegation led by President Vuciq, he is ready and knows what awaits him there. ” said Garic.
Speaking of Scholz's letter, Macron and Melon, who have arrived at the Presidency, Garic emphasises that this letter means additional pressure, but that Pristina must implement its pledge ten years ago.
He believes it is difficult to expect Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti to change his policy.
“He began to show signs that he is changing his approach, but will not accept that Serbs have a position in Kosovo that will guarantee them a peaceful future”, Garic stressed./Periscopi/
