Columbia: NATO supports European plan to find a long-term Kosovo political solution- Serbia

As far as Kosovo-Serbia dialogue is concerned, Colombia has said NATO supports the Franco-German plan.

Colomina, in a proposal for RTK, said the Western Balkans is a region of strategic importance for the alliance.

This is reconfirmed in many cases and specifically in the security concept that we discussed at the summit in Madrid in 2022, and this is the order that I have always brought to the region and which I have also brought to this case”, he said.

Colomina said KFOR is ready to continue implementing the mandate to secure a safe and secure environment.

High official of NATO said it supports dialogue and the plan proposed by the European Union as a way to move forward.

We have worked on easing these tensions, especially in the EU-mediated dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. We believe now is the time to find a long-term political solution for all those tensions. We have wanted to express our support, not only for the dialogue with EU mediation but also for the new plan, the so-called Franco-German initiative, which was supported by the European Union and presented to Serbia and to Kosovo”, he said.

He has added further that he has made it clear that NATO supports that plan and that this message has been forwarded to Prime Minister Kurti and President Vuciq in Belgrade yesterday and that they expect them to implement that plan as soon as possible.
