A large number of citizens have protested in downtown Belgrade on Monday, demanding the annulment of local elections held in the Serbian capital on 17 December.
The opposition coalition “Serbia against violence” called this protest after claiming that the Serbian Progressive Party's victory (SNS) in Belgrade “is the result of election theft”.
“We do not want and dare not recognise the elections in Belgrade, because they are against the law, people from other countries have been misused, coalition representative “Serbia said against violence”, Marinika Tepiq, during the protest before the headquarters of the Republican Election Commission (KRZ).
It stated that its coalition has “40s of evidence” for rewrite of the citizens' electoral will.
“We have evidence and ask for the annulment of Belgrade's” elections, Tepiq said before some of the opposition coalition representatives entered the KDZ headquarters to apply for the annulment of the elections. / REL
