The chief prosecutor of the Kosovo Republic of Kosovo, Blerim Isufaj, has confirmed that he has consented to lifting the arrest warrants against Milan Radojiciqi, but said he cannot make public the reasons for the investigation. He has said the arrest warrant has since returned and the investigation is continuing.
I gave the consent. The reasons I can't make public. These are sensitive issues, they're investigation issues”.
“As far as the order of arrest against Radoicic is concerned, it is a whole domestic matter of the prosecution, to be sure that we cannot share much detail about the cases we deal with. He was never in custody. The arrest warrant has been withdrawn for some time, which has already returned to”.
Isufaj has also commented on the statements of former special prosecutor Silas Hoxha, who had said there were people who have spoken to him to withdraw the arrest warrant on Radojicicik.
Ask him why he hasn't undertaken. I got this information from the media. He never told me. Anyone who could have said something could have arrested”.
Jsufaj, has stated that it is not the prime minister's case when they filed charges and when they cease investigations.
This response has been given Friday at the weekend conference, where Prime Minister Kurti's comments -- which said the justice system against information and facts -- has still filed no charges of terrorist attack in Bansjka.
“It is no matter of setting up charges. It's a matter of justice system. We act out when we do the investigation, when we have evidence. No one can tell us when we have to file an indictment and when we have to stop investigating”.
On February 19th 2021, the Special Prosecutor had requested revocation of the arrest warrant against Radocci while the court approved this request on February 23rd 2021. The warrant was issued in August 2020 under suspicion that Radoicic was part of an organised criminal group in connection with the murder of politician Oliver Ivanovic.
