She was temporarily promoted, shortly after the board laid off Sam Altman.
Many world media, including the major American newspaper, New York Times has dedicated an article to the Albanian engineer, recognising his contribution to the field of Artificial Intelligence.
Mira Murati, born in Albania and educated in Canada, is a mechanical engineer who joined OpenAl in 2018.

It is reported that before joining OpenAl, it was part of Tesla Company, where it played a major role in the development of the Model X and Leo Moion car, the newspaper writes further.
Mira joined the OpenAl at the time she was a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that general artificial intelligence was beneficial to mankind.
“What could be more inspiring than raising and increasing the collective intelligence of humanity”, she had said that world.
Initially she was a member of the management team and was tasked with executing board decisions throughout the company.
Later she took responsibility for distributing the image generator, DALL-E and the ChatGPT text generator, which attracted millions of users after last year's presentation.
Although she has held the title of chief of technology since last year, current and previous employees said Murati had operated as chief of the company's operations. She made sure that her engineers developed ChatGPT versions in time.
It also addressed company relations with Microsoft, an investor and partner who has established OpenAI technology and helped form its artificial intelligence policy in Washington and Europe.
It has demonstrated the ability to create teams of technical expertise, trade intelligence and a deep appreciation for the importance of mission”, wrote Satia Nadella, Microsoft executive chief, in an article on Time magazine. “As a result, Mira has helped build some A.I. The most exciting we've ever seen”.
Otherwise, until the company's next decision, Mira Murati will continue to be chief executive of OpenAl.
