The VV of “familiarizes” public television, their first man on the list checked the RTK board.

The former Vetosure Movement member could soon become a member of the RTK Board after it emerged most strongly from an at-hoc commission of the Kosovo Assembly, comprised of 10 deputies, 5 of whom were from LVV.

In the recent Kosovo Parliament elections, Mehmet Calis lost the race within Vetevendosje Movement, the branch in Han, Elez, to join the MP's list in front of Mirsad Shkreta for only one vote.

But, two years later, Calis came out most voted by a commission composed by MPs. Kosovo Assembly for members of Kosovo Radio Television Board (RTK).

Thus, Mehmet Calis may soon become members of the country's only public media board. He collected a total of 904 points from 10 members of the assessment commission, five coming from the party in which Calis was a member in 2021.

The process for selecting members of the RTK Board has now passed into the hands of MPs in Parliament, as the commission recommended six names for members of the public telesis board.

In a conversation about KALLXO.com, Mehmet Calis acknowledged that he was a member of the party, which leads with the Government of Kosovo.

“Yes, I was a candidate, for one less vote I didn't win. I was a member (of LVV) because without membership you can't run for candidate” Mehmet Calis stated.

But the candidate, who emerged most enthusiastic by the appreciative Commission in the Kosovo Assembly for members of the RTK Board, said he was not favoured, although he was part of the Vetevendosje Movement party.

I'm not favoured because there are both deputies of the position and opposition who have voted. They're accusing me of being close to Agim Veliun even with the PDK, what he's done to me now...” Calis said.

I was a member of Vetevendosje, and I was a candidate for the MP, and these are undeniable facts and I was a Vetvendosje voter before I was a member of other parties, and these don't harm the process that I was better at. Currently, I am not in any political party” has praised Mehmet Calis.

At the maximum point, out of 100 points, Mehmet Calis was praised by the deputys of the Vetevendosje Movement, Valon Ramadani and Besim Muzaqi, while 100 points were even given to Democratic League of Kosovo deputy Agim Veliu.

Fitim Haziri from Vetevendosje also gave scores to Mehmet Calis, 99, while 95 points from Calis were praised by deputies Isaac Shaban PDK and Nijazi Isaac of LVV.

Time Kadrijaj had the least point for Mehmet Calis. The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP only praised him with 70 points, while LDK's Armend Zemaj and LVV's Tinka Kurti, Calis, assessed him by 85 points. Finally, Fidan Yildi from the Turkish Democratic Party praised him with 75 points.
