Trial Against Former KLA Leaders Continues in The Hague

In Kosovo's Specialised Chambers (DHSK) in The Hague today, the judgment of Thaci and others continues.

Otherwise, in the trial against Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veselini, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi on Monday 12 October, the 35th and36th witness has continued.

According to the summary read in court, the witness of 35, W04444, allegedly was arrested and mistreated by KLA members during the respective period. The 35th witness, during the testimony, said he is not sure he was kidnapped by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

After completing the testimony of the 35th witness, 36th witness Sadik Halitijaha, former commander of the Posttric Zone who will continue his testimony today in The Hague.

Unlike in Thaci's court case and others, four hearings are meant to be held for that.

The trial against former KLA leaders has begun on April 3rd, while indictees have been declared innocent.

The first act against four indictees was confirmed on October 26, 2020, and was made public on November 5, 2020. According to the indictment, the crimes presented in it were committed at least from March 1998 to September 1999 at several locations in Kosovo, as well as in Kukes and Chahan, in northern Albania.
