Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that with the 2024 budget, there will be a significant salary increase of over 30,000 teachers.

The 2024 budget will have a total of about $735.9 billion (about 7 ml) of which 633.7 billion comes from income, and the rest is a new debt (deficiation) of 61.9 billion dollars.
As learned by the publication of the 2024 draft, most of the funding will receive public investments of 128.5 billion dollars (1.2 billion).
The additional wage growth fund is 11 billion dollars, about 100m euros. The public sector has about 184 thousand employees, of which about 84 thousand are administrations, and the rest are employees in basic public sector services, education, health and police, and if used only for public notes employees, salaries will increase by an average of $9,000 a month.
The government cancelled the plan for a salary increase in December as planned in one of its documents for reforming public administration.
