Don't play with us, you take away the added risk we had: What did FIT say at the protest?

So stated a member of the Intervention Unit, FIT, before the Government of Kosovo:

The Special Intervention Unit and that for handling exclusive means, today we have gathered in front of the government to express our dissatisfaction with the classification of non-involvement.

We are the elite unit of the Kosovo police. These two units are prepared by the elite academy in the world.

These two units, they have always witnessed high professionalism, have successfully carried out police operations, especially in the northern part of the country, operations they have felt proud of, not only the Kosovo police, but for all our citizens.

Our discontent doesn't date from yesterday, but it's been over 10 years since we've made promises about the benefits that belong to us, but they never came true.

Initially, there has been a lack of the Law of Pays, but even nine months after the adoption of this law, our demands have not been taken into account, rather there has been a decrease in the categorying of risk, and even the particular addition that we have enjoyed since 2010 was banned.

We are unique in our demands and will not hold back until they are realised, so I invite the prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo and Government to take concrete steps in their realisation.

Honored prime minister, you know very well the threats and risks that operators of these operations take not only during official duty but also privately.

So don't play with our dignity, stop playing our families.

We have proved ourselves in the past and recently, in neutralizing the terrorist attack on September 24, 2023.

We ask you to consider the proposal for additional risks.

- Categorization as special units, and involvement in the expert list.

- Risk is set to 50 percent of your basic salary.

-Our demands are absolutely economic, easy to implement, we ask not to be used by anyone for political purposes. )
