Osman goes back to Blerim Isufaj's name to chief prosecutor

Three weeks after President Vjosa Osmani decided not to decree Blerim Isufaj for the chief prosecutor, the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council has once again taken the name of the chief prosecutor of the special prosecutor for the decree.

In the KKP it was unanimously decided that Isufaj's name was again sent to the head of state for decree, reports Calco.com.

Osmani officially decided not to decree Isufaj for the chief prosecutor on 17 October, after saying that in the process of his selection, there were <x0) mass violation”.

The president has said at a media conference that the KKP can bring back the name of chief Special Prosecutor for decree. She said that by law and the Constitution, KKP has the right to make the proposal “one time”.

As for the second issue involving the Prosecutorial Council, you know that under law and Constitution, the Prosecutorial Council has the right to make the candidate proposal for the chief prosecutor once, in contrast with the prosecutor's case, the chief prosecutor has the right to make the proposal once, and then to assess this proposal by the presidency's side”.
