Finance Minister Iron Murati estimates that the Government of Kosovo has contributed more to the growth of the Pristina municipality budget than the municipality itself.
Murati, stressed that Pristina has the budget as never before.
“for 2021, in the budget prepared by the LDK government, where the Ministry of Finance was guided by them, the budget for the Pristina municipality has been 87.6m euros where 58.5m euros were supported by the government, while 28.2m euros were private revenues”, Murati wrote.
“for 2024, with Kurti Government, the budget for the Pristina municipality is: 123.7m euros where 83.9m euros are supported by the government, while 38.8m euros are in revenues that the Pristina Community itself is expected to collect to”.
If we make the comparison for this period, we see that personal municipal revenues have managed to raise 10m euros, while government support has increased for over 25m euros. In other words, the Kurti Government has contributed more to the growth of the municipality's budget than the municipality itself”.
It's like they never had it before. But we can force them to work. They have to do the job themselves.
