Democratic Party of Kosovo Chairman Memli Krasniqi, despite the threat and threats warned in recent days by Serb terrorist groups, has visited the two municipalities of the northern part of Kosovo, Zvecanin and Zubin Potok, the Online Economy reports.

The visit came just days after the opposition leader and the PDK was assigned close protection from Kosovo Police, as a result of doubts about the risk added following the September 24th terrorist attack on Banjska.

During the visit to the two municipalities in the northern part, Krasniqi met with the mayors, Ilir Pecin, Izmir Zeqiri and their teams, where he was notified of daily challenges in this part of Kosovo.

With Chairman Ilir Peci we discussed their jobs and challenges. Especially for the security situation, which is fragile after the September 24th terrorist attack on Banjska. Of course, we also discussed the commitment and commitment of the mayor in the service of all the citizens of Zvecan, indiscriminately”, Chairman Krasniqi has said.

Looking closely at the citizens' situation in the Zvecan municipality and lack of central support, Mayor Krasniqi has called on the Kosovo government not to discriminate against the two municipalities led by the PDK ranks, but to treat them equally.

I was informed of the many challenges and demands, especially of the residents of the three villages of Kelmendi, Zzeja and Boleti. I invite the Government of Kosovo that with urgency and priority I welcome the demands of the citizens of this municipality for rebuilding the homes of Albanians who want to return to their villages and sites”, Chairman Krasniqi has said.

Zvecan Mayor Ilir Peci has thanked Chairman Memli Krasniqi for his repeated visits and support to citizens of that municipality.

After the Zvecan municipality, the mayor The PDK has also visited Zubin Potok's municipality, where it has met Chairman Izmir Zeqiri, his cabinet and citizens of this municipality.

“Today I had the honour of hosting PDK Chairman Memli Krasniqi. He confirmed his continued support for us. I thank him very much for supporting us and the citizens of our municipality”, Chairman Izmir Zeqiri said.

Meanwhile, Chairman Krasniqi said it is really significant and to be praised by all the fact that, particularly, the Albanians of this municipality, concentrated in the village of Caber, have continued and are continuing to stay and live there and develop institutional life.

“I take the opportunity to invite and ask the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to actually have a different and much more supportive approach for these state officials who are working safely in the Zubin Potok municipality, but also in other municipalities in the northern part of the country”, Chairman Krasniqi has said.

Leader of The PDK said that what deeply impressed and appreciated is the fact that there were many citizens and the Serb community who are there on daily grounds to seek services and receive services, which Chairman Izmir Zeqiri and all officials have offered to everyone indiscriminately.

Opposition leader Memli Krasniqi, at the end of this meeting, called directly on the prime minister and other line ministers to visit the municipalities and citizens of Zvecan and Zubin Potok, to address their demands and support the development of a dignified social and institutional life there.
