I am back from Kosovo, where I have travelled to convey the news from my recent visit to the chief diplomatic advisors of France, Italy and the US Emissar Gabirel Escobar and the recent meeting with European leaders in Brussels. I met with Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi to discuss outstanding urgent issues dealing with dialogue”, Lajcak wrote.
He has added that a meeting at the rank of supervisors will be held soon in Brussels.
Our key was to set the stage for an upcoming meeting of the chief negotiators, which will be held soon. I proposed a direct agenda for the upcoming meeting in Brussels, in line with expectations conveyed by European leaders”, the EU's emissary has indicated.
Lajcak has further stressed that at the meeting to be held in Brussels, the primary focus will be on achieving immediate progress in implementing the Agreement and finding sustainable solutions to the challenging situation in northern Kosovo.
In addition to discussions with the deputy prime minister, I have informed the EU diplomatic mission chiefs with headquarters in Kosovo. Moreover, I met with Major General Ulutas, commander of NATO's KFOR mission. Our conversation focused on the security situation in northern Kosovo, and I offered him a comprehensive update on dialogue and future negotiations. I'm grateful for our productive co-operation”, wrote off Lajcak on Facebook.
He has added that my <x0 visit ended with a meeting of opposition party representatives. We had interactive discussions on recent developments, as well as the road forward in dialogue and Kosovo's path towards the EU”.
