Kosovo's life narrows down, prices expensive even during October

The consumer prices index is higher at an average of 3.3% in October 2023, compared to the same period last year, while monthly inflation was 0.0% in October 2023, the Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has announced today according to the harmonised Consumer Awards Index (IHÇK) for October 2023.
A media communique reportedly results from raising consumer prices in vegetables (15.9%), trees (12.1%), goods and services for the usual maintenance of the domestic economy (11.1%), things and other recreation equipment, gardens and berries (8.4%), food products (7.5%), non-alcoholic drinks (6,9%), sugar, jam, milk, chocolate and cookies (6,9%), alcoholic beverages, tobacco (56%), resolution and culture (5.3%).

Following furniture, household equipment and house maintenance (5.1%), buying vehicles (4.9%), bread and cereals (4.7%), restaurants and hotels (4.1%), clothing and shoes (3.5%), goods and services (3.2%), electricity, gas and other fuel tissues (2.6%) and meat (2.1%), with a common impact of 3.8 percent in IHCK.
Price loss is seen in oils and fats (-11.3%), solid fuels, firewood, diapers, and so on. (-9.5%) and milk, cheese and eggs (-1.8%) with a common impact of -0.5 percent on IHCK.
Despite the October 2023 change in the consumer price index compared to September 2023, some changes in the prices of articles and services in the COICOPI groups and subgroups are noted.
Price reductions, according to the AKS, are noted in fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 1,0% with a common impact of -0.1 percent on IHCK.
The price hikes are noted in clothes and shoes of 1.7%, and the various goods and services of 1.2% with a common impact on these subgroups of 0.1 percent in IHCK.

In the monthly announcement of consumer prices, the AKS has said that if last October is compared to September there has been no inflation.
