In the news issued to the media by Kosovo's Specialised Chambers, <x1 command for the arrest of Isni Kilajt was issued by prosecutor specialised for criminal acts against justice administration, including obstructing official persons in carrying out official duties under Article 401 of the Kosovo Criminal Code 2019, code No. 06/ L-074 (KPK) and violation of the secret of the procedure according to KKP's Article 392, and nines 15л2) and 16C. L-053 for Kosovo Specialised Chambers and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (Lgji). ”

The first “Presentment will be the public hearing, during which the Only Judge ensures that Isni Kilay has been informed of the reasons for his arrest and that his rights under Law and Order are being respected, among which the right to judicial representation. Within 48 hours of the first appearance, the Judge will decide on further detention or release of Isni Kilayt”, the report said further.

Isni Kilaj was arrested yesterday in Kosovo by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office under the warrant for arrest issued by the Specialised Prosecutor's Office.

Isni Kilaj was transferred today to the detention facility of Kosovo's Specialised Chambers in The Hague on the basis of the command for transfer issued by the only Kosovo Specialised Chambers Judge.

The order for the arrest of Isni Kilajt was issued by the specialised prosecutor for criminal acts against justice administration, including obstructing official persons in carrying out official duties under Article 401 of the Kosovo Criminal Code 2019, code no. 06/ L-074 (KPK) and violation of the secret of the procedure according to KKP's Article 392, and nines 15л2) and 16C. L-053 for Kosovo Specialised Chambers and the Specialised Prosecutor's Office (Lgji).

The Specialised Prosecutor's Office carried out the arrest with the support of Kosovo police and the European Union's Mission to Rule of Law in Kosovo (EULEX). Under the Law, police under the Specialised Prosecutor's Office have the authority and responsibility to exercise competencies given to Kosovo police under Kosovo laws.

According to the Law, anyone who is arrested under the order of the Specialised Prosecutor is brought before a judge of Specialised Chambers within 48 hours of his or her arrest.

Isni Kilajt's first presentation is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 4th 2023, at 10:00 in the Kosovo Specialised Chambers Trial Hall (DHSK) in The Hague.

The first appearance will be the public session, during which the Only Judge ensures that Isni Chilaj has been informed of the reasons for his arrest and that his rights under Law and Order are being respected, among which the right to judicial representation. Within 48 hours of the first appearance, the Judge will decide on further detention or release of Isni Kilat.
