However, 11 days have passed since the strike ended, and none of the demands have been realized or initiated. For October even, miners' wages have not yet been granted full.
The chairman of the Trepca Union, Ibrahim Januzi, in a conversation for Albanian Post says the union continues to be likewise suspended.
As soon as the strike deal is cut short with the promise of being taken into account, the union that was expelled due to the establishment of those requests remains exempt from the deal.
“Pages have not yet been taken in whole”, Januzi confirmed for AP, until he added “to us as union chief we are still suspended”.
We've got some answers. We will act through legal ways, because the deadline has been through November 10th”, Januzi tells the AP.
Trepca miners.
For the next 10 days, Trepca miners protested and until the 10th day they were not visited by power deputies.
When they met, they were promised to fulfill all these requirements, but there are still no concrete steps in this direction in relation to the miners.
After the miners, the protests also had several Kosovo Special Police Units (The Special Intervention Unit, Explosive Tool Treatment Units and other Police Units)”.
Same as the miners, they interrupted protests with the promise that Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has agreed to meet.
However, the meeting has yet to happen.
Kosovo Police Union Chairman Imer Zeqiri tells Albanian Post that their promise is that the meeting with police will be held this week.
Kosovo's “Prime Minister Albin Kurti is expected to hold a meeting this week. I don't know what action will be on the part of the police if the demands are not met. We are hoping that their demands will be met”, Zeqiri declares the AP.
Kosovo police.
Police officers at the meeting with Kurti will seek a concrete answer on when Kosovo police will be a priority for power, Zeqiri claims.
There are other demands, such as the salary law, which for some categories have removed the additions, have reduced the work experience from 0.5 to 0.55 for the first 18 years. We have also demanded that a basic salary be provided for family members who lost a family member in case there were cases of death, travel payments for those traveling, and piss for police and other”.
“Other than additional riskiness all these requests will be submitted at a meeting with Prime Minister”.
He added that, “The police cannot give up their demands, because they are legitimate and should be priority”.
In addition to lack of health insurance, for the first time, after 15 years, police officers have remained without addition to the risky work they perform.
While since the end of the recent war, 20 police officials have lost their lives in office.
The first case was recorded in September 2001, while the last case was marked at Zvecan Bay on September 24th, where the sergeant already proclaimed hero by Kosovo Police, Africa Bunnjak, was killed by Serbia's terrorist organisations.
With legislation in effect, the right to compensation from the state budget belongs to two categories: the family of police officials who die in office and those who are in charge.
