Former Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, this morning, has delivered news published days ago by the American medium “Fox News”, where, among other things, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyeen, reportedly called for de facto recognition and autonomy for northern Serbs. Hoti has called for the reaction of Prime Minister Kurti and President Osmani, writing that if this is not true, Osman and Kurti must be exposed
This news has been responded to by the Government of Kosovo. Government spokesman Progress Kryeziu has said about RTK, at the moment it is unclear whether the news on the American media refers to a direct quote by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen or is his own interpretation of the media on President Leyen's statements.
What we want to stress is that Kosovo has neither accepted nor agreed on any autonomy. We have shown our readiness for maximum respect for the rights of every member of communities, according to the Council of Europe standards, where our Republic will be joined; but never autonomy, defunctionalization, fragmentation, or anything else that does not allow the Constitution of the Republic?
