Dozens of cases of beer smuggled from Serbia arrested suspect

Initially, police have found an abandoned vehicle, while the suspect has fled the police but has since been apprehended.

Car control has been found loading goods as follows: Beer”Zazepsko“ (34) cash, “Heineken” (4) ark, “Tuborg<5> (11) ark, “Pillis” (7) ark, total (1120) bottles and mineral water “bioda” ark, for which the suspect commodity had no documents.

State authorities very efficient at the border belt, smuggler abandon vehicle and suspected goods, but fail to escape police

Kosovo police, either the Task Force-Unit unit in co-operation with Kosovo Customs in implementing measures for prevention and fighting lawlessness and smuggling, have intensified tactical and operational controls in the field.

On 1111.23 of the high-ranking border belt units in the village of Muqibababe have identified the white Renault (furgon) vehicle with Serbian license plates, which allegedly was entering illegally via mountain roads from Serbia to the Republic of Kosovo.

The male suspect has attempted to evade ban by authorities by entering a mountain road and has abandoned the vehicle to escape, but after the same operational commitments have been managed to be banned by police.

In the case all actions have been undertaken in co-operation with the State Prosecutor, where, at the order of the competent prosecutor in Gjilan, the goods are sent to the customs terminal for proceeding to legal information.
