Former Kosovo Ambassador to Northern Macedonia Gjergj Dedaj is continuing with testimony to Specialised Chambers Tuesday.
He's answering the questions of the Specialised Prosecutor's Office, until during the testimony he said he demanded that the hearing be closed “so that the family will not be compromised”.
You've done injustice to me, on the questions you're asking me... First I'm responsible to protect my family and his children. I have asked for hearings to be closed so that my family and future in Kosovo --”, Dedaj said, while the prosecution has called on him not to speak out.
The hearing was then closed.
During the testimony, Dedaj has reiterated that during his stay in Bajica, members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, he had sent them beer and food.
I'm here, and I'll be here and thank you... We haven't gone to the resort, either on Maldives or on summer vacation. Kosovo burned, Drenica was on fire, no bread even for children. We've eaten what the NLA soldiers ate, food has had no remarks. When we asked for beer like at the hotel they brought us beer in Bice... you're asking me for details 25 years ago, my 25 years are about 2500 years of yours in Europe”, he added.
He has stressed that with Hashim Thaci, he has been welcomed and has had no problems with him.
With Hashim Thaci we have waved as men and others as I remember... I've made statements in my heavy condition, in the process of rehuming, and maybe I've had incredible grief. Maybe even revolutionary and extravagant. From all of this, I distanced”, Deday said.
My leg slipped... It was possible in the school yard, while I was going to the bathroom at the school, the bathroom was away from school and it was night away. I'm down, I'm up, and this is nothing... in some way I'd rather fall, but I had the right to fall. It was dark and rain, it was wet”, he added as he answered the prosecutor's question of how he fell when being held in Baica.
