The consortium for Labour Rights has declared that the Government of Kosovo is having indifferent access to the problem facing Trepca miners who are protesting the ninth day of the strike.
The “Minators are trading for simple demands on time-taking, better working conditions and accountability from the company management. These demands are elementary in the labor and company process, and they would have to be met without having to strike”.
The decision to dismiss employees of the Trepca Actionary Society due to their commitment to the protection of miners' rights is an unacceptable act, not only violates the law on strikes (neen 11 points 3), but also jeopardises democracy in Kosovo and the defeat of miners”, the statement said.
On the other hand, the issued announcement says Trepca miners deserve to be paid on time, improve your working conditions, and be respected for safety and health at work.
“Aday, the underestimated organisations call on the management of the Trepca and Government to open the dialogue urgently with strikers and see as soon as possible to compromise in terms of solving the problems and demands of workers who risk their lives at the country's good work site”.
