The prosecutor in Bosnia and Herzegovina said she has accepted a parachute from Kosovo institutions to investigate the origin of weapons confiscated in Banjska.
In this village of Zvecan municipality, armed Serb groups attacked Kosovo police on 24 September, killing a policeman.
Three Serb attackers were killed in the subsequent armed clash.
In the days following the attack, Kosovo police seized a large quantity of weapons in Banjska, which they said were the product of Serbian and former Yugoslav factories.
In response to the Bosnian Prosecution sent REL is said to have <x0 pre-environmental information shows that it is not about weapons left over from the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
Maybe it's about later-made weapons that are not of Bosnia's descent. But, through the Institute of International Co-operation, all necessary activities will be carried out to determine with certainty all details”, the Bosnian Prosecutor said.
Kosovo's Special Prosecutor confirmed for Radio Free Europe that they have called for co-operation by several states in the region regarding the investigation into the Banjska attack.
The Kosovo government accuses Serbia of this attack, but official Serbia denies involvement.
From this country they say they are making separate investigation into the attack.
