80 thousand people fled northern Gaza through an evacuation corridor on Thursday, Israeli Government Operation Co-ordinator at Territore (COGAT) said.
The numbers announced by COGAT will mark an increase in evacuations compared to the day before, when 50,000 people evacuated northern Gaza, according to Israeli Defence Forces figures.
While an independent verification of the total evacuation has not yet been achieved, CNN reports.
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) has opened evacuation corridors several times this week for several hours.
This was formalised on Thursday, when the White House announced that Israel had agreed to continue with the four-hour daily military operations patrols in parts of northern Gaza.
A spokesman for The IDF reiterated on Thursday that there is no ceasefire in the territory, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said this could only come with the release of all Hamas' hostages.
The IDF spokesman said he visited Gaza in a military column and that the evacuation corridor “is functioning”.
