The terrorist attack on Kosovo Police in the country's north has also alarmed Ambassador William Walker.
Former head of O'S Versus Mission The SEU in Kosovo, Willam Walker, says that for this serious event, a full investigation is needed to understand who those heavily armed persons were and who authorized them.
Walker has also called for an investigation into KFOR peacekeeping troops.
This grave case requires full investigation. We need to figure out who these people are, who authorized them, where they got all that weapons. When parties are negotiating normalisation of relations then how is that possible? Vuciq has many questions to answer now. A serious investigation should also be made against KFOR, because there are voices that say they negotiated and allowed the attackers to leave, when in fact they should be arrested and faced with justice”, he has told Tv1.
The retired American diplomat says Serbia should extradite the attackers to Kosovo, and thus start a trial process against them.
And after what happened on September 24th, Walker expects reflection by the international community on the issue of establishing the Serb majority communities' Association.
It is now important that Serbia extradite the attackers to Kosovo and thus initiate a judicial process against them. Serbia must realise once and for all that Northern Mitrovica belongs to the Republic of Kosovo and should not interfere in Kosovo's internal affairs. The September 24th heavy event shows once again how dangerous the formation of the Serb majority municipalities' Association, where Serbs can gain autonomy in the northern part of the country. I believe that now the international community will reflect after what happened on September 24,”, he says.
Serbian List Deputy Chairman Milan Radojciq took responsibility for organising the terrorist attack on Kosovo Police in the village of Banjsk of Zvecan.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has asked Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucinq, that Kosovo Police attackers, who fled to Serbia, should be held responsible for their work.
