If they get wages, miners from Monday warn strike

Company miners “Threepca” are looking to the directorate to receive the rest of the salaries by Monday, or have warned of entering the strike. Disgusted with the metallurgy company are also the interns who are not paid for practice.

Management has promised quick solutions, but the situation in the company “Trepca” has never been worse since the post-war.

Education Musa, the company's management, is still owed 300 euros for practical work that it has completed in July of this year. The company owes the same debt to 119 other trainees who committed themselves for six months in the mine. They were paid for only three months, up from 100 euros.

The Trepca Undertaking has owed us each of the interns, and the food supply has never paid us. We've been waiting long enough, from May, neither the Government nor the Finance Ministry nor the Trepca company has yet to pay these costs”, said Arsim Musa, former practitioner.

And if this payment is not carried out by Monday of next week, former applicants have warned charges against the company.

Not this week, not this end of the month, so far there is nothing but empty words. We're done practicing. Many of us have lost our jobs, we have been engaged in the private sector, now neither with the Trepca nor the private sector”, he said.

Except for the interns, the company “Trepca” for the month of September owes miners more than half the basic salary. If the rest of the salary is not executed by Monday, miners warn the strike.

Ibrahim Jonuz is chairman of the labour union. “We have agreed that until Monday day the work will continue, but if obligations are not carried out, miners have informed the management that they will go on strike. They have also warned mine entry, there to carry out strike”, he said.

The task manager of the company's chief chief “Trepca”, Enis Abdurrahman, said the obligations would be carried out by the start of next week.
