Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has hosted a bilateral meeting with German Food and Agriculture Minister Cem Ozdemir, who was accompanied by his staff and German Ambassador to the Republic of Kosovo Jorn Rohde.
Kurti expressed gratitude for Minister Ozdemir's visit and for the continued support of Germany's Federal Republic for Kosovo.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, Germany, particularly thanked him for the important role of the German military Bundesehr in KFOR.
During the meeting, bilateral diplomatic and economic relations were discussed, as well as the positive impact of the Kosovo diaspora in Germany.
German Minister Ozdemir “said happy that he is finally visiting Pristina and thanked Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Peci for the hospitality, co-operation and excellent bilateral reports. He commended the government for the reforms undertaken, with emphasis on agriculture and rural development, and through which Kosovo has witnessed its commitment to membership in the European Union”, the communique said.
During the meeting, the prime minister also announced Minister Ozdemir's political developments in the country, the September 24th terrorist attack, investigations about him, facts that testify to the direct connection and involvement of the state of Serbia, and to the professional work of the Kosovo Police.
The German minister, who also expressed condolences to the incumbent officer, Afrem Bulnjak, on the day of the terrorist attack, expressed his gratitude for the professional police work.
Germany's Food and Agriculture Minister Cem Ozdemir has been on official visit to the country all day.
Similarly, he had held a meeting with his counterpart, Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Minister Faton Peci, who, along with Deputy Minister Imri Demelez and Prime Minister's Chief of Staff, Luan Dalipi were also present at the meeting held at the prime minister.
