The head of the PDK parliamentary group, Abelard Tahiri, has praised the European Parliament for voting the resolution by which they condemned the terrorist attack in Banjska.
Tahiri said it is important that all political actors have a greater commitment to highlight about Serbia-sponsored terrorist attack.
The Kosovo Government's 24 September stance on states and reports that we have in relation to this issue is to regret. Today it would be necessary for Kurti to seek Albania, which is a member of the Security Council that, along with the states that have recognised Kosovo, engage and have a Security Council session”.
Of the 15 Security Council member states, nine have recognised Kosovo's independence. We are in a very favourable position, but there is a lack of communication with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, for the Security Council to have a debate about the terrorist attack that has sponsored Serbia”.
It's a pity for the report our prime minister brought with Albania, to the point that today can't ask even that. So this situation caught us in a very favourable situation internationally”, Tahiri said.
On the other hand, he called on the country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, to ask Albania for a more active commitment to the issue, while saying Kosovo's deputies should be more demanding to the government to be present in the international arena.
The “is an issue that needs as much to be exposed, to have as many visits of the prime minister's foreign minister, deputy prime ministers worldwide, to present what has happened at our country”, he said.
