Serwer proposes list of sanctions against Serbia

American professor and the connoisseur of political circumstances in the region, Daniel Serwer, has said that verbal reactions to Serbia's actions are insufficient. Serwer says Washington and Brussels know that Serbia's state has been responsible for the attempted violent uprising with political purposes known as terrorism. He has even mentioned [...]
He has also mentioned President Vjosa Osmani's statements to CNN for Christiane Amanpour, where it calls for sanctions, since if tolerated, Serbia will be able to repeat the same behavior.
Serwer has suggested that the February 24th event is one of the actions on Serbia's long list of actions to destabilise Kosovo and stresses that it is time for serious sanctions.
This attempted uprising is only the last in a long series of Serbian attempts to destabilise the situation in Kosovo. It's time to impose serious sanctions”, Serwer said, writes Express.
He has also listed what, according to him, would be serious penalisations against Serbia. Cerwer has said air Serbia's flights to the US and the EU should be suspended, World Bank and EURZH projects established in Serbia, the US and the EU should suspend financing economic projects in Serbia (not democratisation projects). He has also said negotiations should be established with Serbia for EU membership, suspension of military co-operation between the Serbian Army and the Ohio National Guard, and eventually proposes the deployment of travel and financial sanctions for individuals who have ordered and supervised paramilitary training.
