Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli has not reported to the Commission for Economics, Industry, Intervention and Trade concerning the situation created at the company “Trepca”.
The minister has argued that she has travelled abroad. Mimoza Kusari-Lila from VV has proposed having a meeting with union representatives.
But Commission Chairman, MP The PDK, Ferat Shala, said that on the agenda they have the minister's report and that she has refused to be part of this meeting, saying she is on an official trip.
Shala has said the request has been initially to listen to the minister and that she will tell you why the miners are delaying their salaries, why they are not being paid the trust, why unionists are being suspended.
But Kusari-Lila has demanded that unionists be heard because according to her, not all their demands are legal.
Shala has named Kusari-Lila spokeswoman of the Government, saying these have wanted to be heard by the minister.
AAK MP Pal Lekaj has said the minister, even if he were abroad, would have to stop visiting and come and meet the miners, reports EO, broadcast Klankosova.tv.
LDK MP Valentina Bulnjaku has accused VV deputies of trying to divide the union because, according to her, the Commission has not been announced.
Commission members have agreed to listen to unionists.
Trepca miners have been on strike for eight days, while their demands continue to be ignored by the Government of Kosovo. In the last 24 hours alone, over 30 strike miners have sought medical assistance.
