In reporting to the media, the only point of the agenda will reportedly be “Reviewing the Proposal Resolution for the urgent financial support of the Kosovo Police”.
Last week, the Kosovo Assembly has failed to hold the extraordinary session, where a resolution to strengthen the Kosovo Police would be voted -- after the ruling party, Vetevendosje Movement, was not present in the hall, writes the online newspaper Reporter.net.
The ruling party said the opposition is interested only in power, not in protecting the interest of citizens, and on the other hand, the opposition called the boycott of the session by Vetevendosje.
The review resolution has been proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).
Through this resolution, The PDK requires 15 days of its approval to split the means for additional risk factors for the Kosovo Police. Also, within 60 days the early retirement bill of police officials is adopted, while January 1st 2024 covers the payment of health insurance for police officials.
The agenda is also at today's session, and the review of the Bill for ratification of the Treaty between Kosovo and Denmark “for the exploitation of the correct institution in Gjilan in order to execute Danish sentences”.
