Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha has been charged with criminal corruption, since senior officials from the Special Prosecutor, an allegation bearing sentences ranging from 4 to 12 years in prison.
Jamarber Malltezi, husband of the former prime minister's daughter, has been charged with criminal acts of corruption and money laundering, a criminal offence that envisions sentences of between 5 and 15 years.
The charges linked to the privatisation file of the “Partizan” on whose site 17 towers were built by Malltezi and businessman Fatmir Bekteshi.
