The research sector for persons missing during the war in Kosovo has, based on information, identified a witness who had knowledge of the ossuary remains of a human body that figures on the National List of Persons Missing in Force during the 1998/99 war period.
According to the Kosovo Police report, the case occurred Thursday in Pristina.
It is also known that during the excavations there are ossuary finds of forensic interest believed to be in the human body and belonged to the period of the last war.
“The Directorate for Investigation of War Crimes, respectively, has identified a witness with knowledge of the ossuary remains of a human body, which figures in the National List of Persons Missing by Force during the 1998/1999 war period. Along with the witness, the Government Commission for Missing Persons and the Law Medicine Institute has appeared at the scene. The location has been identified, and after the excavations/progression, there are ossuary findings of forensic interest believed to be human body and belonging to the recent war period”, the report says.
Just as the Law Medicine Institute is known in the report, it has attracted ossuary findings and the same have been sent to the IML for orientation and identification.
